The tree on the Yarra
I love sitting under a tree and watching the world go by.
TREES
I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth's sweet flowing breast;
A tree that looks at God all day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;
A tree that may in Summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;
Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.
Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.
Joyce Kilmer. 1886–1918

I love that poem and your tree is lovely. Great scene and photo.
That is a beautiful picture.
Terrific composition.
Great tree, great poem. The roots look really neat!
What a lovely spot. I found a new tree for me to sit under today at a local park. The weather even cooperated
The tree acts as a great frame in this composition.
This is very well-composed photo, Blossomflowergirl! What a great tree. And the poem has always been a favorite...
Merci! And have a wonderful week!
Peaceful - warm and sunny with the tree arching over the river.
