A Real Classic

Boop-Oop-A-Doop
The companion to yesterday's Caddy - she's called Betty Boop and was parked behind "Lady Luck" - you can see the same building (Hargreaves Hill Brewing Co) in both photos.
This one was the lady's and there's a fur stole hanging out the window.

If you want to see
Just a perfect little she,
Wait 'til you, get a view of Sweet Betty!

There's the moon, 'way up high,
Here are you and here am I,
Oh, do, do, do, something!
Boop-oop-a-doop!

Well, at least cherry cars like that won't be subjected to rust from where you harken, right?

Cheers for a lovely pic and post!

First of all, I really like your new header with people flowing out of the station into Melbourne!

Secondly, this photo is so good! And the car - well, it makes someone like me drool (no comments about my age, please!)

Reminds me of the "hot-rods" that were so popular in the 40s when I was a growing young man in Los Angeles.

What a dazzling red fun-mobile! If I had to choose between today's red car and yesterday's red car, I'd select the "Roadster!" Wow!

Beautiful works of moving sculpture.

Both are beauties! I love the detail of the fur stole, but I sure hope it's not real fur.

MsBurb - I should think cars like these are lovingly tended and kept in a garage.

Jacob - Thanks for the compliment re new header, Flinders Street station is probably one of the most recognised icons of Melbourne. I "drooled" over vintage cars from about the age of 12!

Leif - If I had a car like these, I'd have a long, long scarf waving out the window as I drove.

B Squared - They have such class and elegance.

Hilda - From what I ascertained, the fur is fake.

Cheers.

Oh, that's where I left my car!
Joke apart, what a marvelous little thing!

Diane - Yes, it would be fun driving around country roads.

Brattcat - Beauty is gleaming chrome and running boards.

Steffe - Red always looks nicer.

Rob and Mandy - Wonderful for nice long drives along windy roads.

«Louis» enjoyed these old cars! His 'dream car' is a 1955 or 1956 Packard Caribbean.
