Ten green bottles hanging on the wall (Remember that song?) Well, actually 5,000 brown bottles went into building this Dutch windmill which is adjacent to the House of Bottles - pretty neat eh?
Today's Quote: There isn't a single windmill owner in Holland who doesn't have a second job, for when there is no wind - Johnny Ball.

Is it a working mill or a work of art?
That took a lot of wine drinking!
Smashing! I thought you were on vacation in Holland visiting CDP blogger Ineke! I love your new header photo - a marvelous Melbourne memory!
Fascinating! Once you start such a thing, though, you tend to get all bottled up!
Oh! This goes with the bottle house that you photographed before, but is even better! I should start saving bottles.
:-)
We would sing "100 bottles of beer on the wall" on school trips when I was a child and drive the teacher crazy!

Brattcat - It is alas, just for show.
Steffe - Joseph Eykenbaum must have liked his wine!
Leif - There is a little bit of Holland not far from Melbourne called Tesselaars. Thanks for the compliment re header.
Jacob - Hopefully our Joseph didn't have to resort to AA!
Three Rivers - Singing 100 bottles of beer sounds like a great way for "payback" re teachers.
Cheers.
Pretty cool---now let's see the 'House of Bottles'. MB
Great! Some effort to empty all that bottles...
How many people did built it, and how many did drink it???
Small City Scenes - The House of Bottles has an amazing collection inside.
VP - Perhaps a life time of drinking for that many bottles.
Rob and Mandy - That's the burning question - much "elbow-bending" involved in its creation.
yes, i remember you posting the bottled house before, same artist?
this is great, i like windmills, sadly, we don;t have one, not even a replica i think. ^0^
