Four Lads from Liverpool

It's been a hard day's night
Remember these lads - how young girls stood screaming at the airport when they stepped off the plane and some fainted? Ohh, the glories of the past. I was just a child and knitted this scarf in royal blue and an awful shade of peachy/pink. I wanted to wear it to the airport when the Beatles came to Melbourne. Mum wouldn't let me though, I had to go to school and I wasn't the sort to wag school. Not that I would have known how to even get to the airport. Sigh...

Today's quote: As far as I'm concerned, there won't be a Beatles reunion as long as John Lennon remains dead - George Harrison.

I remember when they came to my hometown of Jacksonville, Florida. I was too young to go, but I still had a huge crush on Paul.

Paul was my favourite too. I thought he was wonderful.

I was in grad school at the time and remember when they appeared on Ed Sullivan for the first time. I thought then that they couldn't sing and looked really dorky.

Guess I may have been wrong!

Is it true that Paul was in a group before Wings?

I remember those days well and I also always liked the George Harrison quote. Definitely not the Beatles without John Lennon.

I remember seeing them on TV on the Ed Sullivan Show...their maiden appearance in the USA. My older sister & I were glued to the TV set and my heart raced when they started to sing. Ahhh those were the days.

I loved Beatles songs, but The Rolling Stones were my faves!
Grungy,bad boys. hehe.
