Moon

Moon at Night
Taken on the back balcony late at night.

I will be away for a couple of days and will visit other lovely skies on my return. May you all have a happy weekend.☺

  7. That wonderful rainbow coloured halo around the sun! Okay, two of them. My goodness.
In Canada we call a rainbow around the sun a "sun dog" but Wikipedia says "Sundogs may appear as a colored patch of light to the left or right of the sun, 22° distant and at the same distance above the horizon as the sun, and in ice halos. They can be seen anywhere in the world during any season, but they are not always obvious or bright. Sundogs are best seen and are most conspicuous when the sun is low."
So maybe we're wrong about the rainbow things.
    Yours are gorgeous, anyway.

  8. PS
I sent a link to your blog to a friend who came to Canada from Australia 40-some years ago. She's not been well, and I thought your slide show might cheer her up.
Might make her homesick, however. It made me homesick for Australia and I was only ever in Queensland for a month and Sydney for a few days almost 30 years ago.
    A wonderful slide show.

  9. Lovely! The glow on the top left makes it look as if it is wearing iridescent eye shadow.
