Spring Harvest Festival 2009 - 03 Meet the Producers

Gateway's fresh produce include capsicums, tomatoes (Truss, Roma and Cherry), eggplant, basil, lettuce.



Jam Lady Jam
From Healesville comes aromatic hand made jams using fresh seasonal produce and Organic sugar - Raspberry Grappa, Blackberry Shiraz, Strawberry Aniseed, Spiced Syrian Figs, Pear Vanilla Ginger are just some of their product range.










My basket of goodies - Silverbeet, potatoes, broccoli, butternut pumpkin, mandarins, cucumber, tomatoes, bananas.

  1. I love homemade jams!! :) I found some in a little Amish shop called, Traffic Jam. :) It's made with cherries, cranberry juice, sugar, pectin AND, get this... Kool Aid. What flavor of Kool Aid, I don't know.

    We hope our June bearing strawberries will thrive next year, so that I can make some of my own jams. All of these pictures are making me think ahead. :) But I am looking forward to our winter. It is my favourite season.

  2. Just Kim - Tha jam sounds really nice. My mum used to make jam every year - we had plenty of fruit trees.
    There's an apricto tree in the back yard, but it bears only a small quantity and the peach tree yields not very nice peaches. The only home-made jams I get to have now are those from markets like these or stalls on the footpath usually run by elderly ladies raising money for some charity.
    What is Kool Aid?
