The Cockpit
The Captain was kind enough to allow me into the cockpit after landing, after all the other passengers had alighted. Visions of saying, "What does THIS button do?" and pressing it at the same time were in the forefront of my meandering thinking at the time.
Of course I resisted.
Naturally.
Yes I did Annie. It was a Virgin Blue flight returning from Christchurch and I asked a cabin crew member if I'd be able to have a look in the cockpit. Said I'd always wanted to see what a cockpit looked like. She came back saying the Captain said yes, but I would need to wait until all passengers were off the plane. For security reasons.
Both the Captain and co-pilot were gracious and answered my (rather numerous) questions. Perhaps the fact that I was on crutches at the time might have had something to do with it.
